Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull is located in the colourful seaside village of Tobermory.
Originally established in 1798 when it was known as Ledaig Distillery, the distillery went through several changes of ownership over the last two hundred years before being substantially enhanced and refurbished in the early 1990’s.
Tobermory Distillery has been closed to visitors for the last two years while another major refurbishment takes place under its current owners, the South African company Distell International who also own and operate Deanston and Bunnahabhain distilleries. The new Tobermory Distillery is expected to open with full distillery tours after September 2019.
Tobermory Distillery produces two quite distinctively different single malt whiskies; the fruity, non-peated Tobermory 12 Year Single Malt and the more robust and smoky Ledaig Single Malt which is available in both 10 Year Old and 16 Year Old expressions.
